The Fox Hollow Farm Amateur and Youth program is based
upon a few simple principles: involvement, achievement
and of course, fun. It is through involvement that
riders gain understanding, which leads to empowerment in
the show ring. From that comes achievement, be it a
National Championship or simply the personal goal of a
clean class. Most importantly, everything must be
achieved in a way that not only results in success
without compromising the horse's well being but also
allows its rider to share in the excitement and joy of
owning an Arabian show horse. Fox Hollow Farm also
believes in the principle of diversity. Combined
together, Juli, Sid, and their staff's expertise covers
many divisions from Hunter Pleasure to English Pleasure
to Western Pleasure to Equitation in every division.
Fox Hollow Farm caters to the active amateur owner and
junior rider. Sid and Juli encourage owners to become
involved with the training and showing of their horses.
Many owners use the weekends to take time out and spend
time with their horses. This helps to build a bond
between the horse and rider that helps make them
successful in the show ring.
Sid and Juli believe that youth riders can learn
valuable life skills that will help apply to their
future careers and focus on reinforcing those skills
through the Youth program. Riders learn about poise and
self-confidence as well as discipline and performing
under pressure. The show ring also teaches riders how to
be flexible and how to improvise when things don't
necessarily "go their way" while remaining composed and
confident.
As a result of Sid and Juli's efforts, the Fox Hollow
Farm Amateur and Youth program has developed into a fun
and exciting experience for many riders in all age
divisions. Riders from the program have competed
successfully at the local, regional and national levels
in many divisions including Saddle Seat Equitation, Hunt
Seat Equitation, Show Hack, Country English Pleasure,
Hunter Pleasure and Side Saddle. |
